A phenomenon of the streamosphere, Aswell already has more than 25 million streams on all of his pieces even before the release of his first album Banlieue in spring 2024. Between rap, emo rap, pop and Quebec folk, this album stands out with very melodic and catchy flows. Entirely produced, mixed and mastered by him, Aswell's first EP will be released in 2021 under the evocative name of Solo . Inspired by artists such as Juice Wrld, The Kid Laroi or Lomepal, the artist places this opus between pop rap and emo rap, giving pride of place to melodies and sung flows, guaranteeing accessibility to a wide audience. The narrative, quite introspective, is essentially centered on subjects such as romantic failure, regret and existential emptiness. A successful attempt which earned Aswell to be cited by SOCAN as one of the five rappers to watch in 2021. What followed was a sold-out tour and memorable performances in front of several thousand spectators at festivals in the province (Francos de Montréal, Festivoix de Trois-Rivières, Le Festif! de Baie-Saint-Paul, etc.) The opportunity for the public to discover an extraordinary performer, brimming with energy and capable of igniting the crowds.
