When two individual currents unite, sparks fly.

Channeling the strength of their union, Banx & Ranx have surged to the forefront of popular music both behind-the-scenes as producers and in the spotlight as artists. Tallying over 2 billion streams and more than 1 billion YouTube views worldwide, the Latin GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi-platinum Montréal duo—Zacharie “Soké” Raymond and Yannick “KNY Factory” Rastogi—continue to expand their dynamic and diverse catalog. Multifaceted globally successful producers, songwriters and artists, they’ve collaborated with international acts such as Dua Lipa, BLACKPINK, Ty Dolla $ign, Nicky Jam, Sia, Alessia Cara, David Guetta, J Balvin, Ellie Goulding, Sean Paul, Diplo, and many more. Simultaneously, they serve up a signature combination of Caribbean, Electronic, Hip Hop and Pop via their own material.

The duo attributes the success they’ve achieved over the past seven years to their collaborative style in the studio – a unique yin-yang balance of their creative energies inspired by their multi-cultural backgrounds and rooted in Caribbean philosophies and trust.

Of half-Indian, a quarter-French, and a quarter-Canadian descent, Yannick was born in Paris, but moved to the island of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean at three-years-old. He discovered reggae through one of his dad’s compilation CDs, absorbing the vibes of classics such as “Murder She Wrote” by Chaka Demus & Pliers and other tunes over the “Bam Bam Riddim” produced by Sly & Robbie. At the same time, he developed an appreciation for Zouk, Disco, classical, Cuban stylings and hip-hop. By the age of thirteen, he began to chant in Creole and craft beats of his own before embracing electronic music. After moving to Montréal, Yannick began posting songs on Soundcloud and dropped a series of solo LPs.

With familial roots in Jamaica, Zacharie came of age in Montréal where he taught himself vocal production and beatmaking at twelve, DJ’ed at underground raves while he was still underage, experimented with graffiti and learned to rap, discovered singing through his love for reggae dancehall, and spent countless hours recording in his home studio.

After hearing Yannick’s viral Trap remix of the Eiffel 65 classic “Blue” on Soundcloud, Zacharie reached out in 2013. A year later, Banx & Ranx formally came to life.
